The Bow Lake Project Team respects Aboriginal, Treaty, and Constitutional Rights, as well as the rights of Aboriginal peoples to self-governance. BluEarth has great respect for the traditions, knowledge, and involvement of Aboriginal communities. Trust is the foundation of all successful long-term partnerships and we know that trust is only developed over time. On the Bow Lake Wind Project, engagement with Aboriginal communities started in 2007 and included Batchewana First Nation of Ojibways (BFN), Michipicoten First Nation (MFN), Chapleau Ojibway First Nation (COFN), Garden River First Nation (GRFN), Historic Sault Ste. Marie Métis Council (HSSMMC), and Métis Nation of Ontario (MNO). Learn more.
