BluEarth is pleased to announce the 2017 launch of its Aboriginal Clean Energy Scholarship (ACES). The ACES is intended to help emerging Aboriginal leaders develop skills and knowledge in the clean energy sector.

“BluEarth is committed to building mutually-beneficial relationships with Canada’s Indigenous communities and our ACES Program is just one of the ways we put this into practice,  said Grant Arnold, President and CEO of BluEarth. “We are excited to build off of the success of last year’s program supporting emerging Indigenous leaders interested in renewable energy.”

The ACES offers each successful candidate financial support of up to $3,000 per academic year, as well as the opportunity for valuable work experience in developing, building and operating clean power facilities in Canada.

The ACES is available to Canadian Indigenous students pursuing trades certification, diploma, degree and other programs from accredited post-secondary institutions. Applicants will be evaluated based on academic merit and community involvement, and those pursuing studies transferable to the clean energy sector are encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is September 15, 2017.
